IT'S BEEN a busy summer transfer window for Celtic so far and with almost 4 weeks of the window still remaining, Ange Postecoglou has suggested that we may yet see more activity taking place between now and the 1st of September. We sat down today (Fri 5th August) with Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports News, who’s fast become the go to guy when it comes to Celtic transfer news, to get the inside track on all the incomings and outgoings at Celtic Park so far – and to speculate on what further movement we may yet see. Anthony provided us with the stories behind the signings of players such as Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alexandro Bernabei as Ange further improves his squad after last season’s successful Scottish Premiership campaign. The club clearly identified some priority positions across the summer in terms of goalkeeper, left back, centre half and winger and have wrapped up their business quickly in those departments. However we may yet see another midfielder and striker brought in as we shore up our options for the challenges we face both at home and in the UEFA Champions League. No transfer window is complete without some players going the other way and the likes of Karamoko Dembele and Boli Bolingoli have followed Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton out of the club, with others such as Liam Scales, Ismaila Soro, Vasilis Barkas and Adam Montgomery all heading out on loan. Anthony’s a brilliant guest, generous with his time and as always provides some real insight into the inner workings of the transfer window. Enjoy the episode and as always let us know any comments or questions for future shows.
